From the door step you can make your way through dozens of public footpaths and bridle ways leading you to the river Wye, Ofas Dyke and the Wye Valley Walk.

This holiday cottage is walking distance from Michelin starred restaurant, ‘The Crown at Whitebrook’ (10 mins) and neighboring village pub (45 mins).

Monmouth provides a full range of sporting facilities with golf also available within a 15 min drive.  Big kids can 'Go Ape' in the Forest of Dean and take to the treetops in this high wire adventure playground.

Canoeing on the River Wye is the ideal way to admire the scenery of the Wye Valley. You can stop for lunch in a pub en-route, visiting the historic market towns Monmouthshire has to offer or sampling locally produced wine and beer. The whole of South Wales is within easy reach. The Brecon Beacons are a 40 minute drive from the holiday cottage, from here the vast National Park is yours to discover. The Brecon Beacons are also known for the best waterfalls in South Wales and are great for a summer dip!

From Whitebrook you can join the Wye Valley Walk and Offa's Dyke for those longer walks taking you for as far as you like through the We Valley. Explore the vast network of bridleways by mountain bike or horse.  The Cwmcarn mountain bike trail center provides some of the best single track and down hill riding in South Wales and is less than an hour drive away.
